Hi y'all. You've clearly come here to learn something about this site and its creators, Rachel and Cary Collett, currently of Salem, Massachusetts. Well, there's not much to tell about us, to be honest. We love science fiction and fantasy (Rachel's the one who loves horror), so we started keeping track of our books. That's how this site began...

How It All Began
The Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Book Database originally began in early 1996 as a listing of the fiction books we owned. It was in a much rougher form at the time, and it contained far fewer entries than it does today. Eventually, we realized it was filled almost entirely with SF, Fantasy and Horror. Hmmm... That was when we decided this could be a great tool for cataloguing our favorite genres in a way we hadn't seen done before on the Web.

As Rachel's interest in web page and graphic design grew, and Cary became more proficient with various WWW programming formats, the project seemed to take on a life of its own. We hope that it will continue to grow, and we hope that other lovers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror will find it as useful and entertaining as we have!

If you're interested in entering either book information, synopses, or author biographies, we welcome any contributions! Please e-mail us if you're interested in helping out! The data entry pages are password-protected in an effort to ensure accuracy and maintain the G-rating we currently have.
